Creative Trades ITO is offering 2 lucky apprentices, the opportunity to take part in a specially designed Outward Bound programme.

The 21 day programme is geared specifically towards young apprentices and puts 26 like minded trades people together in the Outward Bound camp in the Marlborough Sounds, to find their outer limits, both physically and mentally.

Previous winners of the Outward Bound scholarship have taken the self confidence and teamwork skills they learnt back to their jobs and back to their everyday lives. It's the opportunity of a lifetime. Are you ready to go 'outer limits?

The scholarship includes travel to and from Anakiwa and will be awarded to two Creative Trades ITO apprentices completing a national certificate and will be awarded to people who have the following personal qualities;

• Outstanding attitude
• Enthusiasm for the trade they are working in
• A conscientious and pragmatic approach to the theory and practical elements of their qualification

Applicant requirements;

• Applicants are registered into a current training agreement with Creative Trades ITO
• Candidates should be between 18-26 years old at the time of application (Outward Bound requirement)
• Accepted participants must complete a medical clearance through a GP as part of the Outward Bound enrolment process
• Accepted participants must have a minimum fitness - to jog 3.2kms in under 25 minutes plus complete a full day of activities
• Applicants must have employer confirmation that leave will be granted for the duration of the programme (21 days - Aug 30 - Sep 19)
• Short listed candidates may be required to be part of a telephone interview
• The awarded Outward Bound course is not transferable
• Applications close 31^st May 2010
